Just playing some PUBG for the first time. I have no idea what I’m getting into or if this will even work. Let’s hope it’s not as much of a failure as my first stream :s Special thanks to Brian for gifting me this game and to Syok for having suggested it for my next stream.
Just playing some PUBG for the first time. I have no idea what I’m getting into or if this will even work. Let’s hope it’s not as much of a failure as my first stream :s Special thanks to Brian for gifting me this game and to Syok for having suggested it for my next stream. **Sorry, the game crashed at the end due to a power outage but I resumed the stream in part 2 of the video**
Me playing a little bit of “They Are Billions”, a RTS zombie game. It’s pretty good but pretty hard too. Of course, I’m cheating for most of it, cuz I don’t give a shiet.
Just felt like throwing together another round of random movie stuff…this time focusing on random sound effects…sorta. Again, I hope this doesn’t get flagged and torn down in seconds but I guess we’ll see. The movies are as follows:
Intro title: Star Trek TNG – forget which episode
Back to the Future I (1985) – 0:02
Aliens (1986) – 00:03
Alien (1979) – 00:13
Alien 3 (1992) – 00:18
Army of Darkness (1992) – 00:20
Batman (1989) – 00:30
Total Recall (1990) – 00:33
Back to the Future III (1990) – 00:57
Bill & Tedd’s Excellent Adventure (1989) – 01:02
Big Trouble in Little China (1986) – 01:09
Uncle Buck (1989) – 01:40
Under Siege (1992) – 02:31
Universal Soldier (1992) – 03:39
The Princess Bride (1987) – 05:46
The Running Man (1987) – 08:13
Terminator (1984) – 09:13
Spaceballs (1987) – 09:46
Star Trek IV The Voyage Home (1986) – 11:08
Enter the Dragon (1973) – 13:49
Commando (1985) – 13:50
Sphere (1998) – 13:55
The parts where I continuously use the crappy 80’s music is taken from the Terminator (1984) sound track. Well, actually I just took it from the movie but it’s in the sound track.
I remember seeing this game referenced somewhere years ago and I had almost forgotten until a friend (Byron) reminded me. Seriously this is an embarrassingly bad Mega Man title…what I found even sadder were some forum posts online where people said this game actually isn’t that bad… Sure I don’t give this game my all but I didn’t have any desire too. Bad control combination, decent graphics for DOS maybe but shitty otherwise. No music to speak of. I looked online and found a longplay only to discover an even worse final boss…I just don’t see the point of this games existence. Anyway, it’s still more entertaining than Drakkhen.
Picked up another neat game by StarDock called “Offworld Trading Company”. Who knew a game based on finances and trading could be so much fun? Then again, I used to play a game similar to this ALL the time back on my Atari (M.U.L.E.). Though M.U.L.E. is so much simpler it still has the same feel somehow. It’s funny LAN game, not long winded (each round being 30 minutes max, really). Not too difficult to pick up either, give it a whirl.
Found another relic on an old VHS tape. This one involves a young man (Dennis) who mistakenly wears an alien pair of socks that transports him to the “Land of Socks” (which you never see). There, time travels much faster and he’s forced to face off against legions of socks. In time, he becomes the “Sock Warrior” and finds a way to return home and destroy any stray socks that may escaped to our realm. In actuality, this is a messed up nonsensical movie that makes no sense but it’s really f’n funny…if you have brain damage.
Okay so I went all out for this one…been a long time coming. Not sure what sparked my interest into finally using some of the stuff that Mr. Bludclot gave me months back (or years maybe)…but I finally did it. The quality isn’t the greatest at some points but I’m a bum who has a handicam and $20 at any given time, what do you want from me?
I play the following games in order: NHL Stanley Cup (SNES) – 1:00
General Chaos (Sega Genesis) – 5:04
Populous (SNES) – 6:11
Super Offroad (SNES) for like 5 seconds… – 7:54
Faxanadu (NES) – 8:23
Journey to the Planets (Atari XL/XE) – 9:21
Mountain King (Atari XL/XE) – 10:51
Switching over to the Genesis Console: Rastan Saga II – 32:29
X-Perts – 38:36
Sword of Sodan – 43:29
Cyber-Cop – 50:11
Heavy Nova – 53:23
Bulls and Cows – 1:00:26
Mr. Balls – 1:02:32
Panic Lift – 1:04:22
Jack’s Pea – 1:07:22
Golden Axe – 1:08:31
Once again I goofed up with this one…I forgot to adjust my audio settings and the game ends up drowning out my voice so you can barely hear me the entire video. Anyway, there isn’t much to hear, it’s just me playing L4D2 – Versus mode – with Jesse and Miles. The kids screaming in the background are Jesse’s…his house is the only house we can shelter in for these events and sometimes his kids will linger around before we get started. Good times.
Just Steve and I playing some multiplayer Star Wars: Empire at War. We haven’t been able to play this game in awhile since the servers have been down but out of nowhere they’re running again.
Just testing right now – playing StarCraft for the sake of playing. This was for testing purposes and turns out it was pretty successful. So I’ll try and do this again but planned next time.
Just as the title says – just random bits from movies…wonder how long it’ll be before this video is “copy right infringed’ up the arse. Oh well, lets find out.
Found another old tape with super retro stuff on it…actually, it’s not THAT retro, just looks that way based on greyscale footage. This was Miles’ (Mylo9000) old camera and it didn’t have any color feature on it…or maybe it did at one point and it faded? I don’t know, he can tell you. This camera also had a tendency to not record immediately, so you’ll notice a lot of the audio is cut off at beginning of each scene…oh well, it’s not meant to be a blockbuster film. It actually makes no sense but I guess that’s what we do best here at Klaq2k. So this one was voiced by Miles and Sam (Sarkis Samuel) back in the 90’s. I’m not sure where I was that night…even though it was recorded in my house.
Sometime in the 90’s, at a townhouse, during Christmas, was a murder of extreme proportions (that makes sense). A murder so brutal that the police tried to bury the evidence as a means to shield society from any unnecessary trauma.
What you’re about to bear witness to is far worse than any SAW movie…full of gruesome ladle beatings and oven mitt wearing. Filmed on an awful 8mm camcorder in the worst lit environment ever.
The footage was then extracted using an old VCR that barely works…enjoy the crap.
So I was going through a hidden stash of VHS tapes I found last night when I stumbled across a rare gem of a commercial my friends and I used to laugh at all the time.
It’s a commercial from the 90’s for a paintball place here in Ontario (Toronto to be exact) called Sgt. Splatters. This place is actually still around, check it out: https://www.sgtsplatters.com/
Anyway the commercial is hilarious and I could never find this online anywhere for some strange reason…so here it is…however, the quality is crap…sorry, this tape is pretty old and dusty so I’m lucky it works at all.
Did another Top 10 list of songs but this time it’s regarding the 1st stages of mostly action oriented games from the NES/SNES era. Figured I’d do something more random…
Sorry for the 6 week delay between videos…I’ve been busy with stuff. ANYWAY this RANT is all about how ridiculous and over protective the world is becoming…about all the WRONG things. Sure, I want our kids to be safer too but not at the cost of fun and excitement…not really.
Just another classic 90’s filth taken from an old VHS tape. It’s a chilling tale of a young man making haste to his bedroom in order to plunge himself into the world of slumber. Along the way, he is brutally assaulted by a “Psycho Killer”.
Yeah sorry, I know this video isn’t quite what you wanted but it’s better than nothing…right?
I’ve been delayed working on actual videos because of this basement issue I’ve been having. This “quick” video will summarize everything…good times.
Finally, I’m in the process of continuing the “Dying Alphabetically” series that Mylo9000 started over a year ago. Sadly, it has taken me this long just to do M-O (like a month) but I will do the rest. You can find the URL’s so Mylo’s series here:
Just another set of random footage from old VHS tapes. The good ol’ 90’s. This one stars me, Steve J. and Jesse is the director.
I miss that dancing santa.
And for no reason, here are my absolute favorite Top 10 NES and SNES boss themes.
Most borrowed from “World of Longplays” – http://longplays.org. If different, then I’ll mention below:
– NES Longplay Ninja Gaiden
– [TAS] NES River City Ransom “2 players” by Chamale in 05:56.76 (TASVideosChannel)
– SNES Longplay Alien 3
– SNES Longplay Contra III The Alien Wars (a)

– SNES Longplay Final Fantasy Mystic Quest
– NES Longplay Destiny of an Emperor

<RANT>This has been an ordeal. The last little while has been fraught with misadventure. Week started with my car getting broken into, and now a windstorm that is going to require a new roof. I guess it’s fortunate that i have good friends that work in that industry. The wind also knocked over the majority of the fence in the back yard. Not that it wasn’t expected, the fence barely stands as it is. However, its how my ass hat of a neighbour deals with these things. Any of the fence bits that fell onto his property, he immediately came outside, while the storm is still happening, and threw it into my yard. I took a picture of the damage, and was sending the pic to by brother, couldn’t get back to the camera fast enough to catch him in the act, but i’m sure i’ll get another chance to nail his ass to the wall one day.
My dad’s still on that downward slide to crazyville. He was actively looking for a peanut butter jar to put the fallen fense bits in. would be funny if he wasn’t fucking up my kitchen in the process. No dad, there are not empty peanut butter jars in the fridge… or the oven… or in the dishwasher… i ask him how he intends to put large planks of wood in a tiny jar. His response is usually incoherent mumbling followed by wandering away then repeating the process in 3-9 minutes.
I’m currently collaborating with some friends on a project that is really fun. But i don’t want to get into it since it’s in the really early stages. Maybe if it gains ground and we’re all in agreement to release the info, then maybe i’ll talk more about it.
I’m going to get back to watching my life crumble into nothingness. I’ll post more later. </RANT>
Mylo9000 has recently got me into 7 Days to Die, it’s a pretty fun zombie/crafting/survival game. In this footage, you’ll see me playing alongside Mylo, Brent and Jesse. I actually had a LOT more footage but figured I’d cap this one at an hour and 20 minutes or whatever it is lol. Maybe I’ll put up the rest another time.
So back in the 90’s I had decided to make a real crappy animation of Alien 3 the movie…but this is a very summarized, bizarre, exaggerated version of it. Even though I disliked the movie back then (still kind of do now) I watched it a ton of times and felt it necessary to express myself by making a terrible animation…
Special guests stars are the Iron Sheik, Homer Simpson, Hulk Hogan, George the Animal Steel, Yoda and many more.
I had actually watched Rogue One the day of the first showing…but didn’t bother to put this video together until now…fail.
Anyway, this is my not-so RANT about the movie and my feelings toward it. Hint: It’s better than Episode VII.
Things are starting to level out in this new year. However, things are still kinda messed up. The site seems to be stable for now. but that could change at any time. I’ve suffered a number of hardware failures and am now down to using my 55 inch tv as my only computer monitor. i have other screens i could use but they’re all sub-1080p. UNACCEPTABLE!
I’m still stuck spending most of my days taking care of my ever increasingly crazy father. He’s still actively fighting the fact that he can’t remember things clearly and, as my brother and I equate it, The goldfish that runs his brain resets every 10 minutes or so. His attempts to make food for himself usually lead to the smoke alarm going off or a messed up kitchen. I’m sure there is logic somewhere in the universe where mustard belongs in with the glass wear, but here on earth, that makes no friggen sense. Recently, thanks to my fathers refusal to read or obey any signage that says “DON’T COOK”, he still proceeded to try and make fish and chips in the microwave. (the fish we buy isn’t intended for the microwave and never have we ever cooked fish that way ever. Seriously I don’t know where he’s basing this experience on.) Long story short; We now have a new microwave.
I don’t really have time to work on any of my video projects, so they’re on a permanent hold until a much later date.
I’m hopeful that this chapter of my life will end soon and I’ll be able to resume my life and ambitions with out any looming and major issues or obligations that will distract me from making KLAq2000 the media company it really can be.
Moving forward, Moving on.
Finally doing another Play it Live! and I’m going back to Roblox again but this time it’s the “Dinosaur Simulator”. My daughter tends to play this game often and once in awhile I’ll play with her. In fact, this time around she IS playing with me as a special guest star.
So stay tuned for 40 minutes of nonsense with Aisha and I playing Dinosaur Simulator…there are a few glitches that we came across in the game which you’ll find quite amusing…I may put the chapters in the description…if I remember.
I just go on a small tangent about my days (past and present) with regards to cheating in video games. Such topics include:
– Diablo 2
– Starcraft 2
– NES Game Genie days
– Byron’s disappointment
– much much more!
Finally releasing another Top 10 video…it’s only taking me about a decade to finish the NES series…geez.
Anyway, for #5 is Shadowgate, a good ol’point-and-click adventure game back from 1989. Not a very long game but different and fun for its time. I found it scary…that’s what attracted me back then. But I was around 8
Just a brief update of…nothing really. I just sum up what I’ve been doing with my spare time BUT what’s more important is the fact that PHOBE is now on DVD!
Yes – the 90’s classic film from the Niagara Region is now on DVD! For those of you that always wondered what the heck this movie is about, you can now find out for yourself! Check out the links below for all the details:
Lately at our LAN parties, we’ve been playing Gang Beasts.
It’s a funny and odd beat’em up style game but with somewhat complex controls. Takes a bit of getting used to. Though it doesn’t appear like it at first, there is a bit of strategy involved with the type of moves you do. I haven’t quite figured it out yet but I still enjoy it nonetheless.
The game is still under development but still worth picking up if you got 20 bucks or so.
Going through some old tapes yet again and stumbled across something that isn’t life change but rather just humorous and something I haven’t had to think about in awhile…made me chuckle. Also, I threw in some random clips from the same tape.
Sites still down.. Unstable is becoming more like, non-existent… much like my social life… fml
First off, I feel like i need to apologize for the instability of this site. We’ve been having server issues. Specifically a chronic hardware failure that causes the software to freak out and crash the server. The server should recover itself on reboot but because of the hardware issue, it fails and borks everything.
After some probing, my super smart brother, figured out what was wrong and has ordered the needed parts to address the issue. Now its just a waiting game for the parts to arrive.
But don’t get me started on waiting for deliveries. I ordered a few things that I have yet to receive. This is all because the Canadian Postal Service decided to go on strike. I don’t fully understand why thy needed to do that. I just know if frak’d up my deliveries and totally borked all my time lines for various projects.
It’s really no excuse for me to be dragging my heals so much on my video ideas/projects. I chalk it up to depression, and how my lifestyle keeps changing. Being the only one of my siblings that has the availability to take care of my elderly father is a big contributing factor. Its a test of what little patience I have. I put off getting deeply involved in any projects because I know that my father will need my attention or bother me with asinine brain farts. Yes dad, there’s a traffic issue on the QEW. We don’t travel anywhere out of city, so I don’t know why you’re bothering me with this…. For the 6th time today… It makes it hard to sit down and work on a video when you’re so flustered that you can’t concentrate.
I’m also the only one that can take care of the house and any random event that my occur, like taking care of a surprise bill or random drek that happens in my ghetto of a neighbourhood.
The house is really in an unmanageable disarray to the extent that I refuse to have anyone over because of its embarrassing state. I’m working on it.
Today I was lucky enough to wake up with a bit of productivity, even though everything around me is trying to prevent it. A while ago I decided to re-animate my current project, the timing was way off and I wasn’t happy with how, mechanical the motion was coming out as. So I decided to break up the work into 260 frame or so, sections. I started a side by side render of the current scene before I went to bed last night. I open the same project in two instances of blender. In one i set it up to create a placeholder for the current frame, and render it on the GPU (my gtx970) and the other instance of blender also creates a placeholder for the next available frame and renders it on the CPU (all 16 cores).
The GPU render can finish a frame in about 3 minutes where the CPU render will take up to 5 minutes 30 seconds. Its faster than just doing it all with one set of hardware, but I wish it didn’t make my primary computer useless until done.
I would use the render farm for this to speed things up, but recently the farm just hasn’t been working right. Seems the farm doesn’t like linked resources. (objects and materials that come from a separate blender file). I think to avoid this issue in the future I’ll just have to start appending the resources.
I’ve been pottering around the place trying to keep myself busy, with any luck I won’t fall into another rut of inactivity.
Things are going to change. I can feel it.
Mylo9000 and I play some “Final Rush” on Steam…it’s alright, I guess. Probably would be better if we weren’t the only people on the planet playing it.
It’s a co-op based multiplayer game where you fight against wave after wave of robots…the only outcome is your inevitable death but it’s fun to see how long you can last.
Played a quick game of Gang Beasts with some friends. Thought I’d share some highlights. Sorry for the audio, didn’t have the correct device selected so it was only recording my mic.
Found old footage from 200x that Jesse had made and asked me to edit YEARS ago…totally forgot. Better late than never…so basically it’s just Jesse in a tux killing all of us. That’s it.
This was made in the final years of video making fun…those days are long dead. It’s all due to this growing up thing and getting old sort of deal…and kids…
Just playing some warface, figured I’d make a video out of it.
Just wasting time playing some Warframe.
its a F2P game available on steam. http://store.steampowered.com/app/230410/
Another classic taken from the VHS vault of crap. This time, I play a killer…or….stalker…or a bad guy of some sort, wearing a Toronto Maple Leaf sweater, chasing after Jesse for no apparent reason.
What he uses to thwart me is unusual…but that’s the theme for ALL my videos. Enjoy!
I’m sure no one noticed or cared, but the site WAS down for about a month. All thanks to our ISP deciding we didn’t need all the IP addresses we pay for.
Finally fixed and we’re back up. Again, not like anyone cares.
This video is to give the answers. Nobody got 100% but somebody did get at least 3 of them (Youtube user: Rakiarmas). It was meant to be tough as I was interested to see if anybody would have been hardcore enough lol.
But thanks to all that tried and enjoy.
Just finished playing the PC port of Grandia 2. Amazing story, fun gameplay, overall excellent UNTIL…you beat it. The ending was disappointing to say the least and this RANT will tell you why.
I also touch point on some other game endings again and some…romance related material…yeah.
***UPDATE – I missed out one video! Stupid me…you can find it here. The segment is at the end of the video:
As you may or may not know, I’m a big fan of “Another World” or “Out of this World” video game. The version I’m most familiar with is the North American port for the SNES. Because of this, I’ve put together (over the course of a couple decades) a few animations and compilations of footage from the game itself. Most of these animations have to do with the main protagonist (Lester Knight Chaykin) and his alien “Buddy” whom I call “Soapman” since he has no official name (not really).
So this COM-PILE video combines ALL the animations I’ve done with Lester and Soapman thus far (I do plan on making more). There is even a bonus addition (at the beginning) that I put together specifically for this video. ENJOY!
Figured I’d go back and play a classic game, one that I’m not too familiar with, that’s why I didn’t make this a “Classic Games” episode. I did play it as a teenager but very rarely and only at school itself.
Anyway, sit back and enjoy me failing at this game…
Sorry for the lack of videos lately, just been swamped with life at home…watch for more info.
Its been some time since I’ve made a progress post. A lot has happened in my life recently, a lot is still happening that takes my attention away from my video projects and other interests. Its frustrating when I do get time to work on my project, because I spent most of my time trying to remember what I was doing and where I left off.
But when I do get working, I get lost in it. Its fun, but the ideas and vision for the project come so fast that I get overwhelmed and have to stop for a while.
I’ve started putting together the audio and collecting various sounds. Its crazy how jarring a video can be when its missing a lot of the sounds that you take for granted. It’s an interesting process working on this video. I’m trying many different techniques in an attempt to set up a workflow that will help get things done faster as I go. Time will tell if I’m successful.
One of the things that has been taking my attention is the fact that I have to take care of my aging father. His memory is failing and he’s easily confused. He’s even done things around the house, forgotten about it, then swears it wasn’t him that did it. Its taking more and more of my time, energy and patience to keep things going around here. I’m the only one that can take care of him right now. I have the availability, My little brother helps the best he can, but he’s the only one with a real jorb right now so he gets a pass in my book. I’m sure his turn to help more is coming, but until then I’ll hold down the fort.
Just keep trucking, and we’ll get there eventually.
For no reason, just for something different, here is a video of me displaying old content from the 90’s. In each clip there will be video game music playing in the background and you have to guess what game it is.
If you’re not an old fogey like me then chances are you won’t have any idea what the games are but you never know.
s this a new video or long lost footage? Who knows and who cares?
This is X-men for the NES…no explanation needed.
In this video, I’ve just taken a bunch of random clips from some old VHS tapes (all from the 90’s). These were all back in the day when using an 8mm camcorder was our prime source of fun outside of video games. Good times.
Haven’t done a real “Play it Live!” lately so I figured I’d play another one of the stupider sounding games in my Steam library. I won’t go into detail here as to what this game is about but…use your imagination.
This is probably a “part 1” to many sequels of my “Tough Guys” rant…you can’t just do a one parter on this sort of topic.
Today I cover just my adventures of walking to work on a daily basis…yes, 20 minutes of complaining about how annoying it is to walk to work because of “Tough Guys”. I’m f’n insane.
Now here is a game I really obsessed over for awhile. Back then, TMNT was my favorite cartoon show and once I heard there was an Arcade game, it blew my mind. I’d play it any opportunity I’d get.
But then once I heard they released an NES port of the same game, it blew my mind yet again and I rented it to death. So many good memories with this game…
Special thanks to Joe M. (Aleu) for creating this video back in the good ol’days of GTA IV. I found it buried in my stash of ancient videos and figured I’d repost it. It’s probably up on his old Youtube channel somewhere (if it even still exists).
I don’t play D3 too often but lately I’ve found it to be a lot more fun. This time around we’re playing “The Vault” which is just a special area in the game where you can get a boat load of loot and money.
I was at a LAN party at the time so figured I’d record it live. Sorry for the rambling in the background, I didn’t realize it would pick up everyone else’s voices so well.
Any classic video ripped from VHS dating back to the 90’s. The good ol’days when anything you made on camera was funny…back then.
This one stars Mike and Jesse in yet another weird killer movie with no blood or special effects of any kind. My Brother is in it for a split second – he’s the one that says “Get ah—!”
Disgaea PC was released on Steam on February 24th, 2016. For those of you that aren’t familiar with this series, it started out on the PS2 back in 2003. They’ve released several sequels for this series throughout the years but unfortunately for me, I cannot play any of the sequels past the PS2 console…
But now they’ve finally rereleased it but for the PC! Yay for me! It’s great to be able to play this again so I figured I’d give you all an idea of what this game is about. I don’t go too much in-depth, again, just looking to give you an idea of what this game is like.
You can find more about this game here:
Here’s the second half of Dying Alphabetically.
animations made in Blender 2.7, Toonboom Harmony 12 Essentials Stage.
some of the graphics i shopped to together myself with GIMP 2.8
these videos took much longer to make than i anticipated!
I know it’s been some time since I’ve uploaded a video.
I’m working on a few projects and the type of Animation I do takes time.
I hope to get part 2 up much sooner though.
Hope you enjoy.
Animated in Toon Boom Harmony Essentials 12 Stage
3D background and effects created in Blender 2.7
A little belated but better late than never. As you can expect, I’m not a huge fan of this new sequel…I really wanted to be, trust me. Can’t win these days.
This “Play it Live” is just me playing through a series of retro Atari XL/XE games that I grew up with…and forget how to play. But nevertheless, I still try and play.
The games in order are:
1. Asylum (1981)
2. Kids on Keys (1983)
3. Shamus: Case II (1983)
4. Diamond Mine (1983)
5. Gauntlet (1984)
6. Blue-Print (1982) – only a few seconds worth…
7. Duck’s Ahoy (1984)
8. Laser Gates (1984)
Figured I’d post an update video just to sum up what’s going on and what I plan on doing in the future…which isn’t a lot.
Good ol’90’s where making any sort of video was considered hilarious back then. Any such attempt to replicate this video today would just be lame and sad…not to say this video isn’t.
Join Mike and Steve as they face off against the “Killer Cat” that manages to kill people without penetrating their skin! Part 3 is actually on my Youtube site somewhere…can’t make a part 4 ever since that cat is long dead. RIP Mac.
These bits were taken from the following episodes:
– All “Video Game Deaths”
– Play it Live! – Forklifter 2014
– NES TOP 10 – #7 Godzilla & #8 River City Ransom
I was going to make this a “Play it Live!” originally but figured I haven’t done a “Classic Games” episode in awhile so…here we are. Hugo’s House of Horror! It’s an ancient DOS based game from back in the day (1990). I personally never played it before but apparently it was a good game for its time? I guess? See for yourself.
More on Star Trek but this time I’m not limiting myself to just Voyager but rather the entire new set of films (the JJ Abrams crap). These new movies don’t do the original’s any justice…so disappointed. Watch the video to find out why!
This video is dedicated to Mr. Bludclot and all his generous donations. I just go through a collection of stuff he’s donated over the course of the year and how I intend to one day go through them all. Thus begins yet another “Part 1” of a series that will take forever before a “Part 2” is ever completed lol…just not enough time in the world.
This one was done by my brother back in the day…found this classic on an old tape that I thought I had lost. Thanks Jesse for recovering it from the depths of your basement.
Yet another series I’m starting which focuses on LAN parties that I attended from time to time. For years now, my buddies and I will get together maybe once a month and play games (used to be with consoles but now more with PC’s). But unfortunately, my laptop (which is what I typically bring) is not good enough to record while playing. I kept thinking, why not just bring my PC…not practical but at least I can get some footage. So for the next while, I’ll be recording footage whenever I attend a LAN and bring you the highlights of each event.
In this video, the audio quality of us talking is not very good…we don’t have the technology or setup to do it properly. We sit too close together for me to record our headsets (echoing, etc.) so Mylo9000 just setup his laptop to record the area while we played…it’s good enough for now but we’ll figure something out soon.
This month it’s Rocket League we’re playing. Ever want to play Soccer/Football with cars? Well now’s your chance! This game is amazing and fun to play. So many different modes and variation of gameplay (ex. Low gravity, cube ball, boulder ball, beach ball, you name it) as well as DLC content for new model cars (like the DeLorean from Back to the Future).
Sit back and enjoy us frolic about in this action pack LAN adventure! I laugh like a girl.
Got tired of getting the same questions over and over.
So I slapped this video together.
Just another ancient classic from the greasy hall of fame. Good times. This one stars Dennis, his brother Eric and myself as the murderer? Well, sort of…
This month’s Play it Live!, I did another set of 2 games because I felt “Squishy” wasn’t very entertaining both in comedic value and gameplay so I added a bit on “The Stalin Subway” at the end to liven things up a bit.
In this weeks RANT, I briefly go over internet Trolls and my old Worst Games – Drakkhen video and all the negative, raged induced, feedback from that video.
Okay so, I play World of Warcraft (WoW) from time to time and one of my favorite classes is a Hunter. Now one of the best parts of being a Hunter is “hunting” for exotic/rare pets to fight alongside you. “The Kurken” is one such pet that is a little tricky to obtain and found very little help online explaining how to do so. This video is a tutorial explaining how a Horde character can accomplish this…step by step.
Key points or reasons to watch:
– Not able to fly (no flying mount or skill)
– Under level 60
– Patch 6.2 – Warlords of Draenor
– Kurken is lvl 12 – Exotic
– Must have Beast Mastery
– Should have Lvl 40 – Journeyman Riding
– Must have a waterwalking potion (lvl 35) or a means to walk on water
To skip my rant – goto: 15:12
To skip my tips/points – goto: 19:16
To skip flying to flightpath journey – goto: 23:47
always enjoyed how we put 0 effort into costume design, audio quality or visual effects of any kind. The killer was using a pen by the way.
This is part 2 to my “Play it Live – 3.11” episode which aired last week.
This time I run through the “After Dark” screensaver program in Windows 3.11 as I had originally played it back in my teen years. It’s just as entertaining as I remember.
I actually intended to do Windows 3.11 AND After Dark but the entire episode became over an hour, so I broke it into 2 parts. Part 1 revolves around Windows 3.11…why? Just because…nostalgia, I guess.
Been a long time since I’ve done a “Worst Games” episode…mostly because a lot of the “Play it Live’s” I do focus on terrible games.
Anyway, today I’m playing “Gods and Generals” a game from 2003 based around the movie. I never even knew a movie existed…or this game, until a fan pointed it out to me.
I actually had to go buy this on ebay…what a load. This was back before people tried to make terrible games…
Another master piece taken from the vault of Mental Retardation. I open with some random bits of the past then go into the feature presentation.
The guy with the shaved head at the beginning is Mike. He was my brothers best friend (still is I guess) and he was over frequently. Once in awhile he’d make videos with us. I’m the blonde haired kid who looks like he has brain damage.
The Crazy Guitar killer stars old friends Dennis and Andy as well as a special guest star: Mike M. I think Mike was either high or drunk that night because he normally didn’t socialize with us nerds or partake in any video related events. Good times though…I haven’t seen any of those guys in years 🙁
This episode I rant on about the frigin Play-to-Win and Free-to-Play type of games…likes and dislikes…mostly dislikes.
Sorry, I had to put an 18 rating on this one…because of stupid 8-bit pixelated man dong. As petty as it is, it’s still nudity nonetheless and I was too lazy to censor it.
Otherwise, prepare for “Show With Your Dad Simulator 2015” and “Super Amazing Wagon Adventure Turbo”.
Another classic episode where we had nothing but free time to make stupid videos with a home camcorder.
In this short skit, Jesse has a guest over (Steve) and upon serving him a drink, comes across a disturbing discovery!
Today we focus on Vandal Hearts for the PS1 and Spider-Man and the X-Men in Arcade’s Revenge for the SNES.
This RANT involves two topics:
1. People and their sensitivity to certain words
2. Too many items to choose from on the market – whether it be games, paints or light bulbs…etc.
Working on a small blender video, and did a test render of Assassin 12 in the Braqcorp Test Camber. It worked out better than i thought it would for a rough pass.
For only 250 frames, it took quite a while to render. I may have to look into setting up a render farm. Though I think Rendering out the background as an OpenEXR panorama helped the render time immensely.
So, I decided to take another look at the FreeStyle rendering issue. To my amazement, I figured it out! (mostly).
To celebrate here’s Mr. O still working hard. 😛
On a side note. I’m looking into starting a podcast with a few other people.
I’ll keep you posted. Y’know, like the ONE person that actually uses this website.
So most of these Retro episodes are taken from archaic VHS tapes. Back in the day, when I had a working 8mm video camera, I’d go through all of my available tapes and compile the footage onto one VHS tape. Since I had so many 8mm tapes, to compile all the footage onto one VHS tape was impossible unless I compiled only the best stuff.
Anyway, back in the day, I’d do this often and since I was only a kid and had only so many VHS tapes to use, I’d rerecord or recreate these VHS tapes over and over on the same tapes until I had like the perfect compilations. Because of this, there are sections on the tapes that are bits and pieces of previous sketches or sketches that were cut off due to the constant rerecording. I hope this is making sense but if it doesn’t, then just watch this video and you’ll see what I mean. This video is taken from a section of a compilation tape…I haven’t really edited it, if you press play on the tape (on a certain section) you’ll see this video as is.
Be prepared to be confused and to lose a few brain cells.
I’ve been neglecting my projects, and what gets me is that I know I’m doing it. I choose to not work on my videos. I’m not really sure why I’m doing this, I guess its because I’ve been really tired and depressed as of late. No one wants to hear about that so I’ll move on.
So, I spent the day working on some… well.. A test shot. I built a small set and some simple props, then I ran into problems trying to link in my actor.
Most of the issues I had at first were happening because I failed to check the basics before starting. My install of blender must have been reset when I upgraded to Windows 10. Everything was at default and thus so was the render engine. Took me too long to figure that out. After that the deformations weren’t working right, so I spend the majority of my time trying to correct the weight painting. I’m still not happy with it but its working better than it was.
Freestyle, the render option that puts the nice cartoon keylines on things isn’t playing nice. (when does it). It proving so difficult that I’m seriously considering not bothering with it. Whats worse is that I seem to be the only one that gives a damn about that feature because I can’t find any help about it. This means I’m stuck trying to figure it out on my own. I really want to get into this project and hopefully it will become something. I just wish it would co-operate and stop being stupid.
So for the nobody that actually comes to this site, here’s a render of what shouldn’t have taken me all day to do.
Mr.O hard at work.
Here is my first official rant video, I hope to make a series of it since most people seem to enjoy my unnecessary rage. Again I’ll do one episode a month and see how it goes, just to change things up. In this episode, I rant about Star Trek Voyager and the horrible ending to the series…I also go into other movies/video games and their horrible endings. Why do I bring up Voyager after all these years? Well watch and see.
Since R* couldn’t be bothered to give any advise or help in any way, I turned to the community on reddit.com/r/gta5 for assistance.
This proved to be infinitely more helpful since they actually provided solutions.
I knew I wasn’t alone with this issue, as I have seen it mentioned during my time Googling. Turns out R* is even more of douche to others people. Since this is a glitch caused by an R* released update, its a non-replicable issue.
But not all help on public forums is useful.
to the help of u/w0ss4g3 and u/Decoy3 I spent 6, or so, hours in races to generate the cash needed to buy the $105k 10 car garage and replace the 2 car garage apartment. (i really didn’t want to do this but I’m at my wits end). And low-and-behold my cars came back.
So, after all this ordeal, I’m only going to partially boycott R*. I will not pay for anything else from them. If I get their products as a gift, that’s fine.
I will NOT spend my own IRL-$ on anything of theirs moving-forward. They really dropped the ball, since the issue was caused by no fault of my own. It was their game updates that caused the problem.
The only thing I can think of right now, that R* can do to redeem themselves, would be to find a way to kick all the hackers to the curb. This way the people that actually play legit can do so unimpeded.

So I went to the usual weekend LAN party, and tried to join in a game of GTA Online. The game needed an update, and after the usual amount of waiting, i was online. This is all and good and normal, so whats the big deal? Glad you asked. My usual routine is to go get one of my characters bikes or muscle cars and meet up with other crew members in the game somewhere, but low and behold, my garage was bare. My 10 car garage was empty. WTF?!
So now I set off to troubleshoot. I check my crew, and make sure i have the right one active, I did. No help there.
So, I log out and try to check for reasons or solutions on the various forums and knowledge-bases around the intertubes.
I find in a random google search that in some cases, the R* servers can be busy and they may fail to load your garage. “That’s got to be the case”, I thought to myself. So, I log back in to the game, sit thought its century-long load time, and check again. Sure enough the garage is STILL empty.
I took a screen shot of my empty garage and tweeted it to @RockstarGames.
Took a while to get the form to work, [Seems there is a file size limit that the required attachments exceeds by 0.01 mb. However the form doesn’t tell you that. I had to figure it out on my own and split the file into multiple smaller files, but i digress.] once the form was submitted, they got back to me the next day.
in their defense, this was the partially the case, but I only own a single 10 car garage and a single 2 car garage. My 10 car garage wasn’t full, I did have at least 3 spaces available. This means only 2 cars (my sandking and my Ocelot F620) and my scorcher mountain bike remained. everything else, was gone. Three cars and two motorcycles just lost in the ether.
I replied to the support ticket to this affect.
The next day i get this message.
If it wasn’t so difficult to get the things I had, Then I really wouldn’t care, but I put in a lot of time to get those cars. I was trying hard to unlock everything for them and I put a ton of in-game money into making them just right. Only to be removed because R* can’t get their shit together. Some how, its MY fault that THEIR recent update eff’d over my account.
Because of this, R* has crossed int EA territory. I boycotted EA long ago for being the pricks they are. I really didn’t want to have to add anyone else to the list but R* just shoehorned their way right in.
I spent a lot of real world money on GTA V. I purchased it for the Xbox360 on Disk and as a Digital Download version (because i hate swapping disks). Then when I got an XboxOne, I got another digital version. As soon as the PC version was available for Pre-Order, I jumped all over that band wagon. I spent well over $200 on this game because it was that good.
All it took was the company to fuck up and handle it poorly to convince me, that no matter how good the product, if you’re a ass-hat, You don’t get my business.
You make me sick Rockstar. Shame on you.
Never again Rockstar. Never again.
Mr.Braqcor. Another character ready. Tried a few different things with this one. I used Blender’s sculpting tools to give him an aged appearence and applied a texture to the surface of his robes to make it more interesting. There are a few things i wanted to do with this one but i didn’t want to over complicate everything. i’ll build up to that.
I’ve been tinkering around, slowly working on this project and I decided to go with blenders sculpting features for his face and hands. This worked out and did speed up the modeling process. I’m really happy with the results. I initially intended to give him some hair but when I did, I made him look too young and ran into some technical issues with the render process. The hair wasn’t playing nice when it came to applying soft body physics either. Instead of continuing to tinker and waste too much time on small details, I opted to leave it out. I know he has no ears, this is intentional. All will be revealed in time.
Since I’m on hiatus (sort of), Mystik has volunteered to host an episode of Play it Live! for me.
Today’s game is called “Puddle”, another wonderful selection in Steam. This game actually looks rather interesting as you get to play as liquid! I rather play as water than as a piece of toast (ex. I am Bread). Hope you enjoy!
Greasy haircut video made back in the 90’s that I figured I’d share with all of you. If this comes off as racist somehow, then please seek help and then try to develop a sense of humor.
Thought I’d change it up a bit and make a more personal sort of video. I have this old box of stuff that I’ve collected or kept over the years that has some sort of significance in my life and figured I’d share it all with you because I have NO shame!
A quick animation to test the quick explosion and smoke effects in blender with a generic android thingy. nothing special.
I made a bunch of Combat Androids for use in some future projects and to use as generic characters for testing. I’m not happy with the way they are rigged and will probably redo the rigging later. But they work ok-ish for now and that’s fine by me. I posted these images and video to Facebook but figured i’d put them here for schitz’n giggles.
Figured I’d post another update video…though I don’t do much anyway. I’m going on hiatus for a little bit soon but plan on returning with a new line-up…for what it’s worth.
Ah good ol’Valkyrie Profile, the game I bought initially for no reason at all. That’s right, I had no idea what I was getting into at first, I saw the game on the shelf and bought it just because the case looked cool. True story and I’m glad I did because this game is one of my absolute favorites, regardless of how hard it is.
Okay okay, I know GTA V has been done to death but I figured, what the hell, if I do it once, whose going to really care. I’d like to do a lot more but I gots no time.
Going through some old VHS tapes and found a stock load of classic crap we used to record on my old 8mm. This one was done back in the 90’s during High School, Mylo9000 amongst the group.
I have a new computer that works so much better with blender. So much so, that I have to re-learn how to do various things since my computer can keep up and actually show me whats happening in real-time for once.
Another belated episode but only by a day at least…it’s harder to keep up these days and that’s sad seeing as I’m only doing one episode a week 😛
Okay here is part 1 of my Star Wars Holiday Special review. This part consists of me first ranting about movie sequels and how so many bad ones have been popping out…as well as talking about the new Star Wars movie (XII). Then I go into the roll call portion of the Holiday Special.
Sorry guys for missing week 1 entirely…it’ll be all explained in this video. Since I’m skipping straight to week 2, I’ll be doing another classic game. This time it’s Metal Marines for the SNES.
Well since I’ve never planned for a 5th week to a month (not that it matters really), I’ll just pick something that I’ve wanted to do previously but couldn’t due to Playclaw not cooperating.
In light of the new Star Wars teaser trailer #2, colleagues at work brought something to my attention that I should have thought of long ago…something that I’m going to start working on immediately…
Today we’re playing a strange simulator of sorts…if it’s even considered that…called “Turbo Dismount”.
This time I’m playing a strategy Genesis (Master System) game. I haven’t seen this game mentioned too much online, not sure why.
So recently my wife and I went to go see the “Legend of Zelda Symphony of the Goddesses Master Quest” in Toronto, Ontario
Testing out some capture software (Action!) and voice modulation software (MorphVox Pro).
gave it a go in Alien: Isolation on PC.
Its funny, but kind annoying. what do you think?
Today we’re playing “Plug & Play” – a very unique and brief game about…I’m not entirely sure. It’s very strange and quite random…a game totally suited for somebody like myself. Sit back and enjoy while I play an entire game based about humanoid plug people..
Anyway, here is week 4 of March. As you know, week 4 is supposed to be a random game. I’m still sticking with that plan but in a different way.
This week for Play it Live! – Week 3, we’re playing “There Came an Echo” on Steam.
Just another pointless update video to mildly explain what’s going on with my life…which is nothing. ENJOY
Week 2 – March 2015 – Play it Live! will be Silent Hill for the original PSX/PS1/Sony Playstation. Week 2 means a classic game and this game was definitely one of my top PSX games.
Lets begin the week with a “bang”…with this very unusual game called “Mount Your Friends”.
To be honest, when I first saw this game, I just assumed it was going to be pathetic and full of penis’ but turns out it’s FUN and full of penis’.
In this video you’ll only see us play vertical mode but horizontal mode is the most fun…I’m going to make a follow up video in the near future.
This week I picked some games at random. Games I’ve never played before and for the SNES.
So, for those that don’t know or anyone that stumbles upon this blog, I’m working on a new project to get some ideas out of my head and out into the real world. I figured I’d use this story line as a way of learning the trappings of Blender and the animation industry. There’s not much happening thus far, but I have completed (Mostly) the 2nd character for the video. Take a look at what I’ve made thus far.
Week 3 of “Play it Live!” is up. This week it’s “I am Bread”.
For Week 2 of “Play it Live!” we’re doing a classic game (in my books). Today it’s “Out of this World” for the SNES.
A Side By Side play of the Nightclub job in PAYDAY 2.
It’s times like this that I really wish I could turn off my brain for a while.
So it turns out that some of the issues with WordPress are known-issues and the dev’s at WordPress are trying to figure out why they’re broken and subsequently fix it. But other things are caused by the breakage of the framework that WordPress is based on. Yay Seg Faults! I just love manually manipulating databases to apply BS that i shouldn’t have to waste my time on. Thanks for the headache. *grumble grumble*
Broken things are broken.
Keep moving forward.
Try not to rage quit.
Unhand my turnip!
FINALLY! I’m making some progress here. Learning a lot and finding out that I’ve been over complicating everything for hours! YAY!
(not actually posted by Jeff, just M9k going crazy tying to figure all this out again.)
This is where guardiane will post silly things and junk and stuff.
Setting up a web-server from scratch is fun! SO MUCH FUN!
